The creation of Hijos de José Lou goes back to the 1930's, when Mr.José Lou Royo, father and grandfather of the current owners, founded a modest company of ripe olive transformation in Saragossa, along the quarter of El Gancho.

The success of the quality fruits picked from the best olive trees of the region of Aragon derived in the improvement and later enlargement of facilities and marketed products. It was then possible to develop an industrial system of packing and a wider range of products, such as gherkins and spring onions. Thus, Hijos de José Lou became the leading brand of olives and pickles in the whole region of Aragon.

It was in the 1980's ,when José and Pedro Lou followed their father's steps and took charge of the Company's Management, keeping the traditions alive but enthusiastically facing the new market demands.

The new extension of the Company, 7000 square meters in the industrial state of Zaragoza -known as Malpica- led to the export to Europe, including a range of green Andalusian olives, harvested and elaborated in its point of origin, Dos Hermanas (Sevilla), the company's growing centre.
